Chris Roberson

Chris Roberson, B.A., M. Ed., is Head of School.  Chris earned his B.A. at The University of Virginia in psychology, and he completed his M. Ed. in educational psychology/gifted education at U.Va.’s Curry School of Education.  He served as a researcher at The National Research Center on the Gifted/Talented, where his work focused on pre-service teacher preparation, identifying and serving underrepresented populations in gifted programs, curriculum for academically advanced students, differentiation of instruction for diverse learning needs, and the evaluation of educational programs.  Having previously taught students in grades K-12 in public and private schools, Chris has served as a curricular and instructional guide to a range of teachers in grades K-12 in the areas of differentiation, meeting the needs of academically advanced students, implementing effective teaching strategies, enhancing student achievement, and technology integration.  Chris has offered presentations on a variety of educational and pedagogical topics to educators around the country and has several professional publications to his credit.  His work for Colorado’s Cherry Creek School District garnered awards at the district, state, and federal levels. This is Chris's tenth year at Peabody School, where he has taught Middle School math and science and served as Head of Middle School, Assistant Head of School, and Head of School.  In his leisure time, Chris enjoys hiking, canoeing, tinkering with motorcycles, spending time with his family and dogs, supporting UVA athletics, and reading.
